The next major Teaparty event is??

California TaxDay Teaparty event sites! Check these groups frequently, as more events are being listed all the time, and not all groups post their events at every site! #Dontgo, Smart Girl Politics and National #TCOT list events here. Shirts and posters for sale here. These folks at California Tax Revolt 2009 not only list events, but also offer posters, buttons and shirts on site. FaceBook also has groups listing events, don't forget to search there using keywords "tea party California", and "tax day California". More sites will be listed as I find them so check back often.

One word about the various sites. We don't advocate any specific site, political spinter group, or otherwise. There were rumors about the Teaparties being "orchestrated" by the GOP, Newt Gingrich, etc. Nobody gave anyone here any marching orders, or financial support for that matter.

Dear Fellow TCOTers,

We (the state and local netroots group) are pleased to begin to roll out our state ning groups. We have started all the groups in a standard naming fashion and they are ready to release to leaders one by one to get them rolling. To find your state and join just look for the name STtcot.ning.com where ST is the two digit postal code for your state. In addition there are groups for the territories and one for armed forces with AF as the code for our military participants.

We are additionally recommending that you begin using the hashtag #STtcot for items specific to your state. PLEASE CONTINUE TO USE #TCOT also because you must have that to hit the TCOT report page for now and keep our volume up on the usage. Usage of the state feed will allow you to feed your home page for your ning group for your state with state specific information. See OK group as an example on this.
Example: #TNtcot for information specific to Tennessee

We are looking for a leader in every state to coordinate and be the project servant leader there. If you feel called to do that, please join this SLN group and let us know you are willing to serve in that capacity as soon as possible. We will help you get your state rolling and help TCOTers in your state find the group!

Just to give you a vision for the scope of the project, the goal is to create a community where we can dialogue and work together in our own states. We want to help other projects and ultimately feed the TCOT report with state information. We want to assist with candidate recruitment and network other conservative groups as well! It is an exciting project and one that I am sure will create a huge ripple in all our other efforts as we continue to grow TCOT from the grassroots level.

As a side note on policy matters, we have dropped the requirement that you be a member of TCOT to participate, but it is a strong encouragement to all. The 4C's are policy for all state ning groups under this banner. We will not require full name for group participation, but will require full name for group leadership positions. We understand that some simply cannot be public in these matters at present and we welcome their presence and input as appropriate to the matters at hand.

Please let us know how you can help and let's get all those state groups up and running as soon as possible.

PPS We are working on a special project to invite all TCOTers to their appropriate state group and need some volunteers on that effort. If you work with excel and are able to help on this project please let me know.
